Congratulations to all those elected and good luck.
Well busy times all round with 10 new cars being built and a lot of rebuilds
happening
Bears car
is getting a complete rebuild at Steve Batemans workshop we'll see if we can
sneak some photo's.
Steve's F1 car was at the dyno when this went to print sporting a new
paint job and
some tricky
looking new gadgets. Steve has purchased the EX Tommy Singleton #98 car and its
sporting a
very very similar paint job as Steve's car. The car was purchased as a spare car
for Steve and as a
loan car for any overseas drivers that wish to race with the boys from Oz.
Craig Risley is building,
wait for it 5 cars its rumoured that 3 of these are for UK drivers
that are heading to the shores of
Oz, 1 for good so who knows we'll keep a god ear to the ground and update you
all on this as we
find out more. Kev Healy who has been very unwell in hospital for a while is
still building a new
car this is rumoured to have a engine that Kev imported from the USA believed to
have some thing
to do with nascars,
Kev can't race this season but will be back next season when
the health is better.
This season also sees the return of Kevin Ryan after a couple of seasons off in
a new car built by
Kev Healy. Another new car being built is by Steve Bateman photo's of the build
will be posted as it
progresses this car is running a 416 ci SB chev so it will be interesting to see
what happens when this
comes out Steve is aiming to have it done for Australian titles.
Josh Hareb is
building a new car after
his was written off in the novice race held at the end of the season not a good
start for josh after only
just buying the car a few meetings previous.
The club are looking at numbers
into the 30 cars this
season so lets hope it happens

Steve Bateman's QLD title winning car has had new panels fitted and is
now waiting to go to the paintshop.
Greg Churchill AUS1 and Steve Bateman QLD1 are heading off to
the UK on the 4th of September
Greg is competing in the BRISCA F1 world final Steve is driving all the F1
meetings up to the world
final (working on getting him in the WF) We wish both guys loads of luck. Steve
competed in the
spedeworth WF last year along with his son but sadly with time restraints cannot
make it this time
round.
The club have there first meeting on the 26th of September Greg and Steve return
