How to Convert Original Headlight Bulbs to LEDs on 2010 Dodge Charger
Headlights on the 2010 Dodge Charger are semi-sealed with user-replaceable bulbs, so it is necessary to replace the entire 9006 led headlight unit when the need to install a new headlight unit. The headlight lens may degrade over time, or the lens and bulbs may be damaged in a collision, thus creating the need to change the 2010 Dodge Charger headlight housing.
Turn off the engine and open the Charger hood. Locate the butterfly latch on the black panel at the top of the driver’s side headlight. Turn the hand lock to remove it, and then lift the black panel to access the top of the headlight. This step is not necessary on the passenger side.
Remove the two support belt screws behind the headlight with a ratchet or wrench. There are two screws for each headlight that keep the 9006 light bulb led mounted in place.
Pull the headlight forward to access the rear of the unit. Turn the two lamp holders counterclockwise to remove them. The wiring connected to the power sockets, so it also unhooks the wiring from the headlight and separates it from the Charger.
Insert the light bulb holders of the replacement headlight into the corresponding slots. Turn right and push the headlight forward on its mount.
Insert and tighten the two screws. If replacing the headlight on the driver’s side, put the cover in place, and insert and tighten the butterfly clasp by hand.
