How to Change HID Ballast in 7th Gen Dodge Charger Projector
Today we’re going to do a quick replacement for my HID lights to fix the factory HID projector. I got the projector HID lights, my bulb went out, it’s been a while since I’ve gotten this fixed. I actually took the bumper off and put a new bulb in the projector, but it still wasn’t working. So I put the new bulb tried it on the other ballast which is underneath my coat air intake and it worked perfectly. That is the way how I was able to troubleshoot to see if it was the bulb or if any of the HID ballast.
This new ballast, I have got it from the eBay and you can get them from anywhere. I’m just going to take my thrill which has the Allen hex drill screw to replace the old ballast with the new one. They’re going to drill those output the new ones in plug them up. I’m going to take out the red plug and then also the black plug which has two additional plugs on the old one.
There’s the old ballast when I got may projector lights, I have HID capacitors. This helps regulate the wattage for all the current that goes through and stops the flickering. So I don’t have any flickering with my lights and hid capacitor. I’m going to connect the red portion of my ballast and to hear then going to connect the red and black into plugs. For the light bulb matches the colors red black.
When the connection has been made, all things are plugged in all right. The bulb is now working matches, that’s all I wanted to show you all today. And I’ll go ahead and screw this one back into the holes.
